1. Thanks for a great first day of school! Things went very smooth because of each and every one of you! This is a great precedent to set for the school year.
2. Thanks again to our custodians for their hard work this summer. If you'd like to donate to their gift card, please see Gentry or Susie by Tuesday, Aug. 30. The building looks awesome!
3. Teachers are reminded to send home a syllabus with your students by the end of the first week of school. Information that should be included are your contact information, grading practices, expectations, and possibly something about your curriculum.
4. 6th and 7th grade teams: Please turn in your team's daily schedule to the main office by Monday.
5. Each of you received an issue of "Common Cents" in your mailboxes today. Please review it when you get the opportunity. There is very important information regarding your future paychecks.
6. We are still looking for a cheerleading coach. Tryouts will be at the end of September. The season will take place during basketball season in January and February. Please see Nick Pizzino or Gentry if interested.
7. Boys Soccer tryouts will take place on Wednesday, August 31, Thursday, Sept. 1, and Friday, Sept. 2. Any boys wishing to tryout must have an up-to-date physical and a signed intramural form on file before trying out.
8. Don't forget that your parent contact logs are due by the end of September to Gentry.
9. We are in the process of doing a safety walkthrough of the campus. Right now we are looking for potential fire code violations, as we will have an inspection very soon. If we see an issue, we will let you know.
10. Please be patient when it comes to your technology needs. We have a lot of equipment and very few staff members to solve those issues. John Downs will get with you as quickly as possible. If we cannot solve the issue, then we will submit that to the Technology Department. Thanks to John for his hard work in the last week!
