1. A big THANK YOU to all staff members for making the 10-day testing window a success! Congratulations to Mrs. Gardner for surviving her first testing season! There are way too many individuals to list here, but I cannot say enough how much Leah and I appreciate your assistance as a test administrator, proctor, hall monitor, doing extra testing tasks after hours, or assisting with testing in any way. As usual, this staff stepped it up when necessary and did what needed to be done. Thank you for being part of the Jaguar team!
2. Please remember that Thursday WILL be a modified daily schedule. Friday will be a REGULAR daily schedule.
3. There are no extra yearbooks available for purchase for students. Please feel free to pass that along to any students who ask.
4. Thank you to Mr. Santoro and Mrs. Frauenhoffer for producing such an excellent yearbook this year! We have had a record number of students to purchase one this year. Your hard work is certainly noticed.
5. Teachers are in the process of receiving their testing results. EOG Reading, EOG Math, and EOG Science 8 will receive an exam conversion chart from Mr. Downs. For the remaining tested areas, the exam converted grade will already be present on your testing results rosters.
6. Please look for grading information from Mr. Downs very soon. It is imperative that you follow his directions when completing 4th quarter grades, entering exam grades, and completing final grades. Failure to complete these tasks accurately will result in the teacher having to redo their grades, and we certainly don't want anyone having to go through that!
7. A few important notes about testing results: 1) Please see your testing results cover sheet that is attached to your results - this gives you all of the information needed for sharing the results with students, etc., 2) For students taking alternate assessments (i.e. Extend 2 testing) - their exam does NOT count 20% of their final grade. They are exempt from this requirement, and 3) Testing results rosters are not to be copied for any reason. This is a breach of confidentiality.
8. Sharing testing results: We are not allowed to share testing results via email or over the phone to parents/guardians. If they are requesting this, please let them know that testing results will be sent home to all families once we receive the individual student score reports from the district.
9. Schedule Update for Monday, June 16:
9:00am - Staff meeting in MP room
10:00am - SIT meeting in Elkins' room
11:30 - Lunch provided by PTSA for staff members in the MP room
All staff should be present for the staff meeting and lunch.
10. Trade-out time opportunities for certified staff are still posted on the table outside my door. There are still spots available for the stuffing party on June 19. Please sign up if you are interested for any of these opportunities. I will confirm each event and time with you so that you can earn some time back!
11. Please see the email from WSFCS regarding changes in the 50th anniversary event. This event has been cancelled and they will instead broadcast a 20-minute program at that time.
12. Please remember that Monday, June 16 is a protected workday for all staff. This means that all staff are required to attend work and do not have the option of taking the day off. June 17-26 are considered workdays for staff. On these days, staff members are allowed to take annual leave days. All staff have already indicated their annual leave days with Susie, and she also has an updated list of trade out time as well. The only thing now that staff members will be required to do on the workdays is to SIGN IN and then SIGN OUT each workday. This information is crucial in making sure we have accurate attendance for each of you. If you fail to sign in AND out on a particular day, this will be considered an absence.
13. A total of 7 hours equals total work time for a workday. Starting Monday, the building will be open by 7:00am each day. You are not required to be present at 7:00am - you may flex your time as long as you work your required 7 hours. Please keep in mind that the building will probably not be open all evening as it is during the school year.
14. All green staff check-out sheets and room keys are due to Susie before you leave for the summer. All tasks that apply to you are to be signed off by the appropriate staff members. Grades must be turned in and verified before you leave for the summer. In addition, if you are returning next school year and you wish to check-out your laptop to use over the summer, you must do so with Lisa Turner in the MC (see your green check-out sheet).
