1. Congratulations to Mrs. Wells and the 8th grade women's chorus for their "Superior" rating at the festival last week!
2. Congratulations to Mrs. Turner and the Battle of the Books team. They recently placed 3rd in the county competition!
3. One of our 8th grade students, Nikki Rumsey, was injured in yesterday's soccer game. According to the information we have now, she has broken something in her pelvis and is hospitalized. We will forward more information as we get it. Mrs. Cole will be following up with the family today.
4. Please continue to keep Dedria Davis-King's family in your thoughts and prayers over the break.
5. Update on my phone numbers: If you have any emergency or need to contact me, you can try my Blackberry first at 345-7985. If you cannot reach me there, my personal cell is 317-4412. My Blackberry gets turned off overnight and sometimes over the weekend if I am out of town, but I am always available on my personal cell.

7. EOG testing is right around the corner! Deb Neal will be scheduling the staff training for testing. Please know that there is more training required for all staff members now. Just be prepared for that. Deb will share more information with you after the break.
8. Mrs. Davis-King is in need of wood scraps for her classroom. If you have any unfinished plywood or lumber that you would like to donate, please let her know.
9. Teachers: You will need to register for the Document Camera Workshop being held on April 8 during your planning (grade level meeting). Jeff Nichols will do the training. You will receive renewal credit for this workshop.
10. Do not forget to indicate your plans for March 30 and 31. The sign-up sheets are posted in the lounge. Please take care of this by Friday afternoon.
11. Due dates for grades! If you are planning on being out on March 30 and 31, then your grades are due no later than Monday, March 29, at 8:00am. If you are working on those workdays, then your grades are due no later than Wednesday, March 31, at 1:00pm. We must stick to these deadlines to ensure that report cards get printed on time. So please be sure to get grades and verifications to Mrs. Derrah on time.
12. The Teacher Intent forms are now available online. Instructions have been sent to you via email and have also been posted in the lounge. Please be sure to complete this form by April 16. Nothing like having your intent forms and taxes due at the same time!
13. The PTSA has about 15 bushes leftover from the new landscaping on our hill. They are already paid for, but if you have a group or club that you would like to have plant the bushes on our campus, please let me know. We can decide on a good location for them.
14. Everyone have a safe and relaxing spring break! Please take care of yourselves and spend some time with your families. We will all be back together on April 5. There is a staff meeting scheduled for that afternoon.
